E4 were always treated as near invincible trainer that simply prepared the main characters for Battle Frontier unlike other person who insist that PM2023 being the only one that respected Elite 4. Heck PM2023 barely respected Champion Nemona who needed rain to defeat Roy.
The only time E4 were disrespected was during Mega Evolution Special 4 where Alain oneshot Malva's Mega Houndoom with one single Blast Burn.
