Wrong, Friede need Pikachu and Charizard to be remembered. Ash was popular on his own right and has plenty merch and package with his face on it. There was even many merch with Ash and his gimmicks for months on PM series

Even the sanitized Ash from PM series had more personality than Riko and Roy does. All of Ash's pokemon has more lovable personality and better chemistry with Ash. The villain feels like straight from a garbage fanfiction. TRio were better and more lovable than this trash excuse for villain.

Not only did Goh aid Ash in his climb, he was the one that explained to Ash how to begin his climb in the first place. He researched the PWC on his phone and explained to Ash how Ash could make his dream of battling Leon happen.
Some people like to act Ash carried Goh during his PM missions and Goh never gave shit back to Ash, but the fact of the matter is, Goh was just as supportive of Ash and helped him just as much in his PWC goal as Ash was with Goh's PM quest. That's one of the strongest and best aspects of Journeys; these two being there for each other nearly every step of the way.

Looking at 0:26, Ash actually was more mature in PM. In a way, he is kind of like Chisato from Lycoris Recoil. Which shows that people who complain about Ash are just haters who salty over Ash being nothing like their self inserter.

We can see that this all limited banners is starting to get dull.
People are getting bored that every year at least 1-2 popular character gets the alt, while it's a miracle if someone else gets one.
The content also doesn't give the incentive to the players that don't like those characters to pull for them, maybe we'll see some changes when the "prestige" event gonna start next month.
They should just start adding more characters with the spotlight banners and stop doing this soulless variety scouts that doesn't provide anything to the plate right now.
