In XY, he literally forced the studio to make special episode on his self inserted OC and then have win the entire league on XY&Z series. He probably thought "My Alain will be so cool and awesome like Yusei and Sesshomaru that everybody would become his fan and want Ash to be replaced by him". Unfortunately people rejected Alain the same way real people rejected Chunni like him.
In SM, Alola sucked so much as a region that he didn't even wanted to put any of his OC on Alola.
IN PM, he spend entire series trying to shove Goh and Koharu that he completely ignored all the potencial that the new setting gave them for a better series. He probably wanted Tsuragi as another Alain but people rejected him right in the first episode for being an Alain rip-off.
