Let's Go is because there was no Pokemon game on the Switch and wasn't going to be for like, a year or so.
SwSh was because it was the brand new mainline game with a new gimmick, dex, region, and overworld structure.
PLA was because it had completely different gameplay from your standard Pokemon game.
SV was because it was the new region + dex with a giant overworld and 4-player co-op.
BDSP isn't even a fucking Platinum remake. At least Let's Go was a Yellow remake. They had a placeholder for the fucking menu on Day 1. It manages to have less features than the DS games. They didn't even put overworld encounters, even garbage Let's Go put that shit in. It's both a ridiculously faithful remake down to a fault while also somehow being WORSE than the original games. There's literally nothing to enjoy, you don't even get to see Sinnoh in a new environment or get to play Diamond and Pearl with modern gameplay.
For as bad as Let's Go is, at least people can see a reason why I might want to play that over FireRed/LeafGreen or original RBY. I genuinely don't know why someone would choose to play BDSP unless they skipped DP to begin with.
