I made a mistake. My cousin who was younger than me at the time got Heartgold, Black and White. He asked me to play with him because he didnt have anyone to trade pokemon with.
Pokemon Black unironically reignited my love for Pokemon, something I felt was wavering as I was growing up and leaving Pokemon behind with Diamond and Pearl, one of the arguably worst Pokemon games in the franchise. I then asked him to borrow Heartgold and later played White 2, both games were fantastic, I was sad when XY and the following games did not live up to their predecessors, as I felt like this franchise had peaked and there was no point in keeping on playing it
Despite not matching these in quality, ORAS was pretty decent, however I still feel like I should have dropped this franchise right after I was done with BW2, it just cannot get better. It has not gotten better.
