The animation specifically has her looking annoyed and the reason why she’s so annoyed with Melody isn’t because she’s flirting with Ash but because Melody mistook her for Ash’s girlfriend and keeps teasing her about it and she’s understandably mad about this because who would want to be mistaken crushing or going out with a loser like TRAsh? Her entire reputation was on the line here!
4Kids predictably changed the context into one of jealousy rather than just sheer annoyance, in reality Misty has never once gotten jealous over Ash.
