>>58135516>playingActually we have a way of determining exactly that, the number of people who have posted a score at all. Let's look, shall we.
In BW alone (not counting B2W2 because that's just True Ant Containment Zone) there are 81 Singles records and 52 Doubles records.
In XY+ORAS (because there's no meaningful difference besides some extra megas in the latter) there are 61 Singles records and 42 Doubles records.
In SM+USUM (again, little meaninful difference) there are 84 Singles records and 82 Doubles records, the latter of which is meaningfully a lot more than BW Doubles.
Seems like BW has lots of players getting low streaks, Gen 6 has few players getting very high streaks, and Gen 7 has lots of players getting fairly high streaks.
I can check the Gen 4/BDSP and Gen 3 ones if you really want me to, I don't mind.
>>58135523>Battle Maison, which is just battling>Battle Institute, which is turn management>The restaurants, which are just turn management>Inverse Battles, which is just battling with something that should be a move like Trick RoomUnless you're counting Super Secret Bases as a navigation challenge, which is barely the case but is definitely more fun than half the shit I listed above, it falls shockingly short. Even the PWT has some variety within it, type expert tournaments are a different kind of team building exercise, rentals is the aforementioned Battle Factory, and the rest of the tournaments are kinda basic even if the download ones are neat throwbacks to Japanese Stadium 2 (yes, I have to specify this because there's a lot of naming fuckery going on).
