>>38183305The problem with the main quartet of supporting characters is that they're all too similar to one another, they should drop Serena/Calem, that's not really a character it's just a walking battle requester. Shauna's personality is fine but they should've emphasized her naivety and kind-heartedness, there are a few moments where she has outbursts that I think would be well complimented if there were more moments of her being shown as inexperienced by capable. Trevor needs to made more grey morality in terms of his personality, he and Tierno are too similar to Shauna in characterization.
Trevor's personality should be something of an elitist, similar to Blue he's certain that he's better than others and has the power or ability to prove it, hence why he's often comparing dexes with the player (it's a dick measuring contest for him), also you could have something about him growing up in Lumiose City as opposed to a more rural area like Vaniville play into it.
Tierno, I love the character but I understand that he's one-note as fuck, I feel like Tierno should be ambitious, and skilled, not naive like Shauna and not malicious like Trevor, however what should distinguish him is his ambition, having a dance team of Pokemon seems pretty small scale, maybe Tierno's character should act as a foil to the entire concept of beauty because he sees beauty in all Pokemon through their ability to dance.
