Most likely cut content. One of the many things Kalos fans wanted fleshed out in Z before those hopes were dashed.

Just a small sequence not unlike Route 1 in Kalos. Difference is it doesn't take up route space which XY was so sorely lacking.

Not to Game Freak. And you ignore the anime similarly kept the gimmicks all alongside each other. And Masters added a simmilar gimmick mechanic in sync stones/moves.
But they won't return in core games, except under limited circumstances (megas in XY remake, Z-Moves in SM and so on).

Disingenuous post. You're including the ORAS megas, which aren't available in XY. Also, you can use Z moves on any Pokemon you want, so it didn't give any Pokemon an explicit advantage just by being from a shill region.

GS is blatantly unfinished, RS is barren, DP is a disaster on every level, and BW are just okay. that is the level of quality XY is on.

By the same people who referred XY and XY&Z as some sort of masterpiece despite being a garbage that got dominated by Youkai Watch.

The main reason Ash was in the series because the show makes more sense with an experienced protagonist like him over a complete newbie with level 05 pokemon who has to take on gym leaders that are several time more experienced and skilled than him.

Alain was the core reason why both Kalos League and XY&Z flopped hard and get dominated by Youkai Watch to the point executive TPC forced OLM to handle SM series like Youkai Watch.

I consider everybody except for TRio & Mitte as non-character on XY/XY&Z series which mean its possible to change their character. Serena could be a sweet yet strong girl like Jasmine & Nurse Joy who no longer act submissive around Ash and willing to scold him for being rush, dumb and impulsive.

Gen 4 was SLIGHTLY better but mostly hard carried by HGSS.

Gen 5 peaked.

Gen 6 was another dip. Really needed Z version to fix the problems of XY but alas it never happened so we're stuck with a incomplete gen.

Gen 7 dipped further.

Gen 8 was the bottom of the barrel.

Gen 9 broke the bottom of the barrel, found a second lower barrel, and went to the bottom of that.
