>>55497610Actually there are plenty of issues objective to XY. The thing is they're not actually XY exclusive but true to the entire 3ds era as a whole.
>Shitty looking animations for several Pokemon because of Sky Battles>frame rate drops everywhere>the 3d gimmick only works in battles and lowers the frames ever worse>leggy and slow online infrastructure (at least the menu was nice)>still tile based despite being in 3d making the world less organic>forced to use the retarded rollerskates>game balance is shit, especially if you use the in-game features you're given (exp share, amie, powerful giftmons with mega stones), making the game pathetically easy and the player ends up more OP than everAnd if you want to get into actual, objective issues with the game
>shit post-game, any side modes at all have zero reason to be touched and the friend safari is an unbalanced nightmare>Weird biodiversity that makes every route feel stapled in place (why is a swamp and a desert both connected to the same city down the road from each other?)>the most repetitive bad guy team in the franchise, people were getting absolutely sick of the "crazy evil bad guy blows up the world" which is why sun/moon took a huge departure Genuinely if you weren't there for it you might not understand this but XY released at a time when people were actually still optimistic for Pokemon games. The general consensus from normies wasn't that Pokemon were making bad games, just stale ones. XY sold cause its in 3D/on 3DS and had a bunch of features that came with that like character customization and a focus on online.
It was a breath of fresh air, but at the same time the game itself was bland as hell and most people I know played the campaign in like 2 days and most of their playtime was in online. Then ORAS came out with more megas and stuff so XY's PVP died quick lol.
We all figured the inevitable Z would fix things up, much like BW2, Pt, Em, and Crystal, but that never happened.
Good bait.
