Quoted By:
FRLG: just Kanto (Charizard, Pikachu, Eevee), basic in comparison to the rest of the regions but that's not neccessarily bad
Emerald: definitive Hoenn (Mudkip, Blaziken, Sceptile, Gardevoir, Rayquaza, Champion Steven) game, somewhat basic like Kanto but has multiple gimmicks and many Pokemon
Platinum: definitive Sinnoh (your OP image, Garchomp, Darkrai, Lucario, Champion Cynthia) game, slower and more exploration-based with a limited roster of Pokemon
HGSS: definitive Johto (Lugia, Pichu, Scizor, Quagsire, Tyranitar, Celebi) experience, limited roster but has many side activities and has Kanto explorable in the postgame
BW: the first Unova (Zoroark, Haxorus, Volcarona, Samurott, Chandelure, N's game) game, roster limited to only new Pokemon and has a more story-focused campaign
BW2: BW's sequel, not a third version title and features many more Pokemon while taking place 2 years after BW
XY: Kalos (Sylveon, Aegislash, Hawlucha, Greninja, Zygarde), back to basics like Kanto and Hoenn while having small side activities (also Megas + this is the region Z-A is taking place in)
SM/USUM: Alola (Incineroar, Golisopod, Rowlet, Necrozma, Guzma, Lusamine, Lillie), more on-rails and human-focused in comparison to other games and featues Z-moves as a gimmick, USUM is more difficult but has a worse story
LGPE: Kanto but you catch Pokemon like in Go
SwSh: Galar (Cinderace, Corviknight, Grimmsnarl, Zacian), Poke-Britain, the one that got a lot of people upset with the Pokemon available, it's... mediocre at best
PLA: Hisui (old Sinnoh), game is about going into the wild and catching many Pokemon to fill up a Pokedex and that's the whole game
SV: Paldea (Meowscarada, Ceruledge, Koraidon, Miraidon, Ogerpon, Terapagos, picrel), entirely open world and notorious with glitches, despite that has the most story focus since BW/BW2 and features a long campaign
