I’ve noticed that a lot of XYfags/zoomers call any episode where Ash doesn’t catch/evolve a Pokémon or have a gym battle “filler.” That really points to them being shonenfags who never watched the earlier seasons since this anime has always been 90% “filler” with character development spread out subtly over many episodes. Yes some seasons overused the “Team Rocket tries to steal the Pokémon of the day” plot, but why even watch this anime if you can’t appreciate the fun side stories?

They had planned to show less battles, but the producers forced the anime's staff to make more battles, so they had to hire a fuckton of newbies from outside to help with the animation to be able to finish the episodes on time

They have the behavioral constitution of tumblrinas and a paradoxical need for women to be quiet and subservient housemaids (note how many of them refer to previous female companions as manly, abusive, brutish ect)

AND WORST OF ALL. I can't help but feel sorry for them. I get it man. The show teased the everloving fuck out of them with ship bait only to leave it actually as ship bait
