>Gen 1
7.5/10 too many grass poison types that are similar design wise (with every other gen not having enough poison) and a couple lazy designs, but even the lazy ones were solid and made sense. Can't think of more than 5 desings I don't at least respect in the group.
>Gen 2
9/10 Honestly some of the best designs here. Top to bottom solid designs. Even the ones I don't care for like granbull or stantler are still good designs. Implying xatu and macargo don't automatically make it best gen designs.
>Gen 3
8.5/10 Not far off from success of gen 2. What gen 3 had was awesome as fuck final evos. Also has the most Pokemon I gravitate towards when making a team. Also, ludicolo, aka mi ese.
>gen 4
8/10 Solid but bland. Had some great designs like all the starters, but also abominations like Probopass and Rhyperior. The cross gen evos are split between good ones and bad ones and since those are a huge amount of the Pokemon, it's not as good.
>Gen 5
9/10 Gold gen like gen 2. Maybe it was just the number of Pokemon but there's a huge number I love. And the ratio of shit designs to good and clever ones is lower than most gens. Fucking Chandelure, Golurk, Galvantula, Archeops, great designs. Starters were shit though design wise.
>Gen 6
7/10 Worst gen design wise. Mainly because of just my complaints. Not enough 3 step evos, but that isn't design. What gen 6 lacks is memorable Pokemon. Pyroar has the awful mane in both genders, Aromatisse is ugly, but it also has nice designs like Vivillion and Helioptile. Honestly, the megas designed were all right but overdone designs if that makes sense. What gen 6 lacks is substance.
