My country has around equal parts latino, whites, and blacks (and very little asians, but we still have them) and everyone here is so chill about race. We literally call each other our language's equivalent of nigger/spic/chink/cracker, or say stereotypical jokes like "how's your ebola going", "ching chong how much is this", "did you finish your narco trade of the day", "hey small dick" and genuinely no one gets offended. We know it's all just stupid jokes, we could say that then laugh together and then go for drinks like the friends/acquaintances we are. You see this from young kids to 70+ y/o people. It's all in good fun and we know it's just superficial jokes that ultimately mean nothing and has no bearing with the qualities of a person. For us race is something of the past we use only as a joke nowadays, you don't see stuff like what's happening in America in my country, and I can't imagine living so unironically obsessed and scared of everything you do or say. Sounds like hell.
