>>55746756I literally don't care about any of the stupid shit you mentioned.
If I want muh comfy adventure with super slow burn RPG stat increasing and item drops being rare I'll just replay a mainline game like Legends Arceus or get into cart breeding/competitive.
When I play a *rom hack*, I already know it's going to be a little janky and will never have the new region fresh luster of an official game. It's existing tilesets etc. slapped together by a spic in his basement, and that's fine. Perfectly fresh regions and pure polish/novelty will never be their strengths.
If I go into a rom hack I want things I can't get in mainline games.
Harder fights. Different stats and types. QoL. Things that prevent cheese unlike main games (level caps, hyper potions in battle). Ability redistribution. etc.
This has been the standard expectation for hacks since the beginning of the concept. Hyper Metroid, Shin Megami Tensei III Hardtype etc., there are countless fanbases for different games who know exactly what they're getting into when they decide to play a completely free hack that makes shit hard, removes fluff but still uses a lot of the base game.
Pokéniggers are the only retards and manchildren who complain about free rom hacks actually doing exactly what rom hacks are supposed to do.
but your opinion doesn't matter, the public has decided games like RR and Elite Redux are kino and so they appropriately get the most fanfare, updates and videos made about them. I'd say make your own hack but I know you're incapable. Cry more
