Alright let's just do a quick recap of what we know so far from the lore. There's a pokemon in area zero that has a crystal shell formed of a bunch of hexagons, this is from the scarlet book and a book in one of the research outposts of area zero, meaning that both Heath and Sada/Turo have seen this beast which basically confirms it's existence. This pokemon has the power to possess people while they sleep and record/give them knowledge, this is seen in the scarlet book where Heath writes some calculations and other things he can't understand while he slept, and he doesn't remember writing them.
The legendary fusions are basically just concept art by some random artist on Heath's expedition team, based on his imagination, but this could also be the work of the mysterious creature in area zero.
Paradox pokemon exist in both versions, and are all mentioned in paranormal and psuedo-science magazines that are in the school library for some reason.
Geeta knows more about what's going on than anybody else in the game, her ace can only be caught in area zero yet she was never mentioned being a part of the research team in any capacity, she also basically owns the pokemon league and is the chairwoman of the academy which means she's easily the most powerful person in the region, at least in terms of influence.
There's too much lore here to just be fucking nothing, and as some anons pointed out earlier there are some very odd similarities to things in kalos, which is near Spain in the real world. This DLC might end up basically just being a third version like B2/W2 but on an even larger scale.
Also keep in mind there are still a lot of mysteries to solve, I'm the anon from the other day who was talking about the metal slab, I found it today as I was trying to catch a roaring moon, there is very clearly writing and images on it but you can't interact with it, if the written language in pokemon games were actually translatable I'd say I was on to something.
