How long did it take you to complete the PokeDex?

I'm trying to do it via trade without owning any of the previous games, it's going a little quicker than I thought. I wanna complete it before XY.

Took me about 2 months. I have a few games from each of the previous generations though so it was a lot smoother than your attempt will be. Trading off starters and dittos really helps get you damn near anything on GTS.

Didn't take me much time in White 2. Once you complete the Pokedex in one game, it's easy in every game after that if you transfer everything; which I did with HG
