My first shiny was a Boldore in Black 2. In Reversal Mountain. With a retard for a battle partner.
I knew that Bianca would do everything in her power to stop me from catching that gorgeous blue-gemmed Boldore, so I made sure to kill all of her Pokemon before trying to get rid of the non-shiny Boldore. There was one heart-stopping moment when the Boldore almost fainted, but its Sturdy saved its life. It was the one time I was thankful for that usually annoying-as-fuck ability. Named that Boldore Lithia and boxed it, but she's a part of an all-shiny team right now and I might try EV-training her.

Just last night I was looking for a Female Eevee to breed, and lord behold, the very first FEMALE Eevee I encounter was that beautiful Grey tone. Nearly had a heart attack, got it to red and paralyzed it and even then it took 20 great balls to finally catch the bastard.

It's being boxed until X/Y come out so I can have a female shiny Sylveon named Petunia.

I found 2 shinies in my life, both not too much time ago.

One was in a Blaze Black (hack rom) nuzlock run, that never used because nuzloque ruuruu.

The other was in an RPG Maker Pokemon Game that we'll, wasn't exactly the same, because RPG Maker.

Don't remember which pokemon where, the Blaze Black was one of those early normal type pokemons, was not a sentret, nor a zigzagoon, wasn' a bidoof either...

I thought "I love those things and would love to use a clefable on this nuzlocke!"
So i fought May and went back to get my pokeballs and try to catch my cleffa
On my way back Bam! a Shiny Cleffa
and no pokeballs yet
worst feeling ever, i didn't even knew that was possible
Since that fatefull day i avoid every grass patch on the way to get my pokeballs

If you want an official number, it's something around 1/8000. I'd recommend you MM for one, since the chance get's down to 1/1200 and you can pick your nature.

I found three shinies. I'm not counting the Red Gyrados. The first was a golden-blonde furred Sentret, before I recieved my Pokèballs. The second time around I got an orange furred Zigzagoon whilst using the Wild Pokèmon Modifier in Platinum, since I couldn't have been assed to get the three zigzagoons normally, and then green-tentacled Tangela on Black.

I like the green Tangela better.

i found only two shinies in my life. one was during ruby, a golbat at the end of the victory cave. at the time i didn't know what a shiny was but i was very excited nonetheless. i don't know why but i still remember it was black, even though shiny golbat is puke green. still i couldn't catch it because i didn't have any more balls. i was disappointed, but actually not that much because i didn't know that shiny are so rare.

I also put it to sleep a few times to prevent it from killing itself by getting confused.

You know that trainer pokémon are not random, right? If they are shiny they were programmed to be that way.
In the trainer tower/hill in gen 3 there are a couple of pokémon programmed to be shiny.

The Pokerus didn't come from RICK ROSS.
If I recall correctly, it originated from either the Linoone and spread to the rest of the team.
I'm playing Pokemon Snakewood, so I have no idea if the chance for Pokerus was raised or not.
