while the first movies did have some nice animation, they find out that they dont need to spend resources on that anymore. they are cheaper every year (and you can clearly tell), but because of pikachu they will sell anyway.
they do have some cool animation, but dont expect a lot. you yoshinari on movie 14 was a nice surprise.and that was it.
masaaki iwane has done wonders on the tv series. a lot of his episodes are way way better than the animation you find on movies
