I have a theory that Game Freak tries to make pokemon based on ideas that haven't been done before. So for every cool as fuck fakemon the internet makes, that's one less idea for Game Freak to turn into reality.

You know when they were designing pokemon someone had to have been like "I've seen that on deviantart..."

The cream of the crop of fakemon has some stuff that is meets a lot of fanbase demands (like fire/water, farfetch'd evos, etc.) creatively and without sacrificing the pokemon "feel". The other 95% is crap, and even the fakemon designers I really like produce misses about as often as Gamefreak.

tl;dr, I'd like the thing in OP's pic to be real, but about half of what's posted here I'd pissed to see in a real game and I'm guessing would get even worse reactions than Klefki from the board if it was real.

Shuckle almost literally can't have a mega evolution.
Changing the HP stat mid-battle has all sorts of complications (what will its HP be after battle?) and its defenses are 230 base, almost at the 255 maximum.
Boosting its attack stats would ruin Power Split.
It doesn't need speed.

Shuckle getting a Mega Evo was literally never on the cards and you really should have expected this.
It needs a proper evolution.
