Yeah this. What the hell? I don't think I outright dislike any generation as a whole, but I've never felt as mixed as I do with Gen VI. When I saw the Gen V batch, I immediately loved, VI might take some getting used to for me.

I'm going to have to go with Gen II, there's literally not one Pokémon I dislike from Gen II. I love them all. Honorable mentions to Gen III since that was my overall favorite Gen/Game though.

It's honestly tied between Gen II and III for me. I think those two generations are the only ones I can look at as a whole and say that I actually liked the lion's share of them. A lot of the ones from Gen I are classics, but there are also a lot of silly ones as well.

Past Gen III the designs started getting more divisive, at least for me.

Gen 2 had the most good Pokes, a decent number of really great ones, and little to no bad ones.

Gen 5 had the most GREAT Pokes, but also a shitton of bad-to-abysmal ones that puts it behind 2. I'd rank it as around the same level as 1 though.

I agree. Most of the Megas look absolutely atrocious, almost like the "Gen IV version" jokes we make. Or even Digimon

The one I like are Ampharos for being mildly humorous, Garchomp for being so ridiculous it's amazing, and Charizard Y and Mawile for not going overboard.

Magnemite is alright. I don't have anything against inanimate object Pokemon if there's some neat ideas behind them, like Honedge or Litwick. If he was just a magnet with a circle and a face drawn on it then it would be inexcusable. Magneton is pretty damn shitty though.

It feels more like a "Fairies and Megas expansion pack" really. Probably to get ready for a new Gen1 remake (or just some kind of new Kanto-focused entry), which will add even more Gen1 Megas.
