We've had fic threads before, but this one is different.

As you may or may not know, November is National Novel Writing Month. This time of year, aspiring authors from all over the world set their noses to the grind stone in an attempt to hammer out 50,000 words in 30 days. They all have hopes and dreams of one day being successful authors.

Fuck that noise.

As a writer by trade, I've participated in this event several times over course of my life. This year I decided, in honor of X and Y, I would spend this month of writing with you, /vp/.

That's right- you.

So here's the plan: every day, I will write at least the target amount of words and post the pastebin here.

I've toyed around with Pokemon fanfic before, but never got anywhere. NB: I do not follow the anime in any way. No Smut. Game only. Final Destination.

The tone will be serious. Before you cry "edgy" or "muh friendship," know that a more dramatic narrative is better for a longer piece.

That being said, this is where you come in.

I need trainers. You are, presumably, trainers. Here's the catch- trainers have 3 pokemon. I've made this decision for the sake of cohesion. But, I need trainers to populate the world. To that end, if you are interested in being a part of this endeavor, please come up with a trainer concept with a maximum of 3 pokemon.

For the story, it takes place several decades after the events of RB and GSC. The initial conflict deals primarily within Kanto and Johto and the bid for Johto independence. This does not mean all the other regions are forgotten. With the advancement of technology created by Bill, Pokemon the world over find their way into the homes of any trainer.
