I used this little guy as a stab retaliate revenge killer last gen and he worked pretty well. Nobody suspects the chin-chilla.

I had to run choice scarf on him, but he OHKO'd most things barring physically bulky resists.

To get ES Linoone in Gen VI you need:

For foul play to choose the most favorable stats (e.g. does damage based on highest attacking stat vs lowest defensive stat)

to somewhat balance it so shit like klefki doesn't shoot up to ubers, only dark type pokemon using foul play get this, otherwise it works the old way

Defensive boosts would work too. Avalugg is proof that Game Freak is finally starting to realize what it takes to make a viable Ice tank, but that doesn't help the many mediocre Ice Pokemon that came out before it.

Add these all together:

Base Stat x 2

So a fully invested stat is essentially twice the base plus 99.
If it's a +speed nature, multiply by 1.1, and that's your speed stat at level 100.

Yes. You multiply it by level divided by 100, (so 0.5 for level 50), BUT without the initial 5 points. That's separate and gets added after the level multiplier.

Jolly Urasring hits 343 speed with Quick Feet, it really, REALLY needed to be able to hit 352+ for that set to really be viable. Even in NU it was kind of hard to get a sweep off in gen 5 because so many things still outsped it.

I like having non-600 Dragons with more complex routines than boosting and attacking.

That said, his hidden ability will effectively boost his STAB attacks by 33%, so he'll become more powerful someday.

Well I mean, up until recently dragons didn't have much in the way of resistances, and Dragon was never actually strong against anything but Dragon, so they made them stat-heavy as fuck. That was the tradeoff. This one doesn't have that tradeoff.

He can learn a pretty sweet moveset though, and has a decent typing, so I like him. Just wish he was a little less slow and squishy.

A main problem is the moves themselves. Ice Beam, Surf, Flamethrower, Psychic and Shadow Ball are some special base 90 moves, but although lots of types get a variation of it the other types don't get any at all like Dark and Ghost and have stuff like Shadow Ball for their best STAB. Of course, this is merely a case of the move not existing yet, so there's a chance it could be introduced later.

Then you have stuff like Power Gem, which are a variation of the standard 80-90 base power move, but due to what the attack involves (gems in this case) Pokemon like Magcargo and Omastar miss out on a valuable STAB. Poor physical Electrics have to deal with Wild Charge because Pikawhore took their Flare Blitz variation with Volt Tackle. This problem is worse than the first since you probably won't get another move like that, though if lucky there might be a new move that's almost as good (Sludge Bomb and Sludge Wave, Flamethrower and Heat Wave).

The crit stages got modified. There are now only four of them. Stage 1 is unboosted, and it's the same as it ever was. Stage 2 is moves like Slash, I don't know if it's been calculated yet. Stage 3 is 50% crits, and stage 4 is omnicrits on everything not immune to "hax". To compensate, the critical hit modifier is only 1.5x (2.25x with Sniper) instead of the 2x (3x with Sniper) it had previously.

Focus Energy is a +2 boost, Scope Lens is +1, and numerous people have reported infinicrits after combining the two. Since there's an item available to everything that grants a +1 crit boost, it makes sense for Lucky Punch and Stick to offer a +2 boost, which is just the Slash +1 away from hitting the rape-happy Stage 4.

The problem with making Moxie a free Work Up on a KO is that it makes Mixmence hideously overpowered. Granted, that has nothing to do with Pyroar, but it'd probably end up putting at least one Pokemon in Ubers.
Unnerve, however, really should work as a Special Intimidate in addition to a Berry blocker. After all, most -Sp. Atk effects work by messing with the target's concentration. It makes perfect sense from a flavor standpoint. Why didn't Game Freak do that from the start?

Again, they are more than capable of releasing a patch that changes it's HA.
But then everyone with 5V pyroar's, missing the attack stat, will be pissed off.

Easiest solution is to patch the game in a way that makes it's attack stat higher. Make it a mixed attacker. Suddenly, I would consider using one.

Same thing can be said about Sleep and there are moves specifically for that.
I don't get why everyone is so against luck based things in competitive. Sure Double Team spam is retarded, but it's not all that different from paraflinch hax or paracon. Freezing being so rare is pretty nice given that it can and will completely fuck you over if you aren't prepared to deal with it.

And if you are comparing the two, it should be noted that almost all sleep inducing moves do 0 damage. The only one that does is relic song, and only 1 pokemon gets it.

We need a "special attack burn" and freeze is the perfect condition to change

It's got Dynamic Punch and Stone Edge, what other normally-inaccurate powerful moves do you need? Also, STAB EQ which is accurate anyway. Also got the elemental Punches, so its movepool really isn't an issue.
