I think a bigger problem than the contents of the OP is the subject. I prefer "WiFi General", some do "Wi-Fi General" and for a while "Wi(-)Fi and Trading General" was popular even if it was totally unnecessary (WiFi implies trading). Though WiFi also implies Friend Safaris, which some people really loathe seeing. People should just remove it from their name field.
Anyway, rant over.

One of the main problems of WFG is that it has no specific purpose outside of being a general pit for wifi related shit.
It made sense to combine back when trading general and battlan general and pokémon general and mystery egg general and whatever were all dead on their own.

Right now you have Shiny Trading General, GTS Giveaway General, Friend Safari General, /cpg/ and Hackers and Cheaters Generals all active enough on their own.

WFG is deprecated and mostly offers eroded elitist subculture and circle jerking now.

If people are too incompetent to make a new tread and let the old one drop to page three without caring about it, I'll keep making threads and I'll gladly keep ignoring any kind of input from people that can't even copy a pasta and substitute a number.

You're right. wfg accomplishes very little now, and puts value on things that GTS Giveaway literally gives away for next to nothing (the fact that a Pokemon has become a kind of virtual currency and nothing more is a little unsettling)

I'd like to see, over the span of ten days or so, the amount of trades and battles done each thread.

That's mostly new people though.
Old WFG thrived on regulars trying to get rid of their horrible breeding leftovers, then Gen VI happened and ruined everything.

It's the jewing new people that drove the old regulars into Deep WFG and away from the thread.
Now it's an eye for an eye and people won't even assist in a simple trade evo without getting something for it.

What I am saying is new people killed WFG and shouldn't be catered to in the OP.

My wording was bad, but I was talking about the current of wfg. "Freely give, freely receive" still exists among regulars (including those who came after October, even if many don't look at them as regulars because they're relatively new), but with no real way to guarantee legitimate heritage in Gen VI there's a lot of trust issues.

In OU he has too many significant weaknesses and no real advantage. Sure he can still do work, but there's quite a few other pokemon that will do his job better without the awful weaknesses to Fire, Ground, Dark, and Ghost.

Also, i'd suggest a life orb on mienshao over sash. And even though it's a bit riskier i think HJK is a lot better than drain punch as well.

thanks for the feedback. I'm still on the fence over HJK and DP. On one hand one does more damage, but the other gains HP and doesnt hurt on miss. I'll probably play with DP and if the power doesnt cut it I'll try HJK.

That's not always a good idea.
Just out of memory, max special defense Moongus only dies 5% of the time to a 1+ fiery dance. This is 80% with rocks. I'm pretty sure there are a fair amount of other calcs like this.

You really dont need MVenusaur for a sun team. It would be better to run a regular Venusaur with black sludge or life orb. Sunny day isn't really abused on the team outside of that. It also harms Empoleon's Ice Beam, and boosts damage to your already fire-sensitive team. Meowstic can be replaced by Klefki or Sableye who'll do a better job setting up screens and such. Perhaps invest in Ninetails or CharY if you want a sun team.

It isn't that reliable. But if you're using Volcarona for what it does best, sweeping, Fiery Dance helps it out with that so much more. Trying to sweep with Fire Blast is super risky and fiery dance's boost will give you more power after 2 boosts, which you'll just need 1 boost to get after a quiver dance.

It's not like an Amoonguss of all things will do anything to Volc anyway since Lum Berry is a thing.

I'm really not trying to start any kind of shitfit, I'm just saying that my preference is Fiery Dance when I run Volcarona. I suppose an Amoonguss can tank its hit, but I've never ran into an Amoonguss before, so I guess that was never an issue for me. I guess if you're really worried about that kind of thing, then run Fire Blast. My Volcarona set has never let me down, so that's what I run.
