And I guess I faced a lot more low-ranked trainer because the first battle was against a hail room team, which I always fail miserably against.
>>19272222I have a rain team with Politoed, Ferrothorn and Toxicroak as its core. I added Mega Manectric (previously had Rotom-W in its role) and the aforementioned Talonflame. I chose Kingdra over Ludicolo for a Swift Swimmer as it can outspeed Scarfmence and is a good answer to dragons overall.
My most common openings were Manectric + Toxicroak (for Feint support), Manectric + Talonflame and Toed + Kingdra when I thought I should just plough through the other team.
One of my battles was against something that pretty much looked like a mashup of previous incarnations of my team. Full rain with Noivern, Kingdra, Azumarill, Rotom-W as well as Toed and Gyarados benched. Opposing rain teams are a problem for me too. Noivern in particular is a hard counter to rain teams, but I didn't bring it to the challenge because it overlaps with Kingdra.
