I caught an Azurill early on in X but never trained it because I kept waiting to have an opportunity to boost its happiness before leveling it too much. Spent most of the game with a Golduck because the Psychic attacks were helpful.
But I eventually switched around to my Azurill and trained her like mad for the League, and she was a definite powerhouse throughout the ordeal. I wish I'd switched out sooner, honestly.
I also feel bad that my Golduck didn't get into the Hall of Fame for all its hard work.
