Is anyone else stoked as fuck that the announcer for the DUB is still announcing in X/Y? We've been through multiple voices changes in very major characters in Ash and some of his travel buddies like Brock and even Oak. But the Announcer is still around and that's cool.

I'm not liking XY solely because it seems like they wasted all the fillers on the gap between Viola and Grant. All the episodes coming up either have captures, evolution, training, or plot. Hell as soon as we are done with the Summer arc we go straight to Korrina and once we are done with her we still have to visit Tower of Mastery

His goal is to defeat all Mega Evolution, a clear goal from the get go. So him beating a bunch of losers with Megas should be expected. But at least the show shows that he can beaten and who else can show this better than a member of the Elite Four?
Wish Fulfillment? Definitely, he is the cool aloof archetype of character that some kids like to imagine themselves as. I hope we get to see more of his past and motivations, so though he can be still be described as wish fulfillment (unless the show gives a drastic makeover), he can at least have some more character beyond his archetype.
