I dunno. Shiny always pissed me off because it had an extra animation when it was summoned which took more time than a regular mon.
Altaria is my favorite pokemon though and gold is pretty sweet.

Breeding Shinies is a pain in the ass. I've started Safari Hunting and altering their stats with PowerSaves since I'm too much of an autist to Shinify and like keeping my ID. Sadly it only works on certain Pokémon that don't need Egg moves. I've got a Floette and Inkay from this method though.

It's nothing hard, you just bike around 'til you find a Shiny, catch it and hope it has the right Ability. If it does, just alter it and voilà, Shiny with your ID. It still can take a while though. And it's not always guaranteed you'll get the one you want since it's out of three, you just need some patience and to keep yourself occupied while doing it.

only legit shinies i have gotten have been by accident in breeding or running in grass. i've given them all away and shinify the few pokemon i do like via my friends power save. i generally only shinify pokemon if it makes them look more stupid, like salamence.

Trapinch is the ONLY shiny I ever randomly encountered. It was on my ruby version, and at the time I had no idea what a shiny was, but fuck if I was gonna pass up a silver trapinch. Thank god I didn't fuck that up.

Either hatch up to or even more than 512 eggs with two 6 iv parents, one of which being japanese(and pray you get the right nature) or if I want the hidden ability I might give chaining in the safari zone a go as with a 61+ chain you have three guaranteed maxed IV's. Just requires skill in chaining.. Which means quite a bit of practice.

Was just hatching old breeding leftovers to make space in my boxes as I was completing the dex. I had put away my DS for a little while, and when I came back this green eyed, bronze motherfucker was looking up at me with rage in his heart.

Its Jolly, with 4 perfect IVs and only missing Speed.

I normally dont give a fuck about shinies but this is pretty neat.

I got a legit shiny pansear in Santalune Forest and a 0 Spe geodude when breeding precursors for my 0 Spe Honedge.

My favorite shiny that I have is Steelix and he's the only one I found in the wild unwanted, as an Onix.

Favorite way is masuda method. I can easily watch something or multitask while hatching eggs so I don't mind the hours it takes to get a shiny. I've hatched 5 this way so far.

I reset for this guy in Steven's house years ago in Ruby. It only took me around 3,000 resets, which take didn't take too long.

I had my own narrative about Steven giving me a shiny beldum and years later it would actually become cannon. Although I am disappointed that my favorite pokemon and shiny will be given away in an event. Same thing thing happened to shiny rayqauza. I am looking forward to sweet ass cherish ball, though.
