I've pre ordered the steelbook case and because I did it at game I get the figurine too
Going to dexnav the shit out of tailow,lotad at the start o the game and then again later on with a kekleon. Going to take my time through the game and make it worth my money. Oh and my main friend I'll be playing with is getting treecKO so I'm going with mudkip

I'd say 11:30 is fine enough because Game at the retail fort didn't really go out of the way to say they were doing a midnight release, but then agaain if you want the exclusives Id get there at 11 just incase they ran out but if you preordered I don't see a problmw with going later

I've managed to get some money together though and I'm gonna try and reserve a copy from Argos to pick up tomorrow.

Got my Omega Ruby two days ago.
I'm doing a Wonderlocke run and I ended up with a level 30 Shellgon before beating even the first gym, so I haven't really had many issues so far.

The only thing that annoys me is how much early route crap I get when wondertrading, but that's pretty much what I'm sending out myself so I can't really complain.

Do we have a list of one-time opportunities?
For example, obviously your starter is a one-time opportunity
In X/Y, the nickname your rivals/friends call you is a one-time opportunity

I'd assume the junior trainers in gyms are still one-time yeah? Like you either choose to fight or go around them and once you beat the gym you can't choose to go back and fight them.

I want to know what to expect so I don't make any bad decisions during my playing tomorrow.

There are some you can't change though, like that nickname in XY and certain trainers like Magma/Aqua Grunts

Actually I have, and this is why I'm asking. Do you remember all those reporters and loads of other types of NPCs that ask you for catchphrases and stuff? You CAN change those, and there were a ton of them. However, again, in the recent games you have NOT been able to change them, so I want to know what I will need to decide on the spot and what I can not have to worry about to come back after Delta Episode and change.

Does ordering the steel case ones from GAME come with the figurine also and a normal case which goes inside the steel case or have I lost a normal case for a steel case only, the boxes are bigger for some reason on the images.

Can ORAS only wonder trade with other ORAS or can it work with XY?

It was an example I guess, but we're on the same page about it being minor. It's such a minor thing that, during your first playthrough, you might as well skip it - like just type an "A" in the box or something. Then once you're done experiencing the story, you can just go back and change it without having to reset your save file for something so minor. I was using the nickname as an example because you cannot go back and change it. In the original RSE, you could go back and change most stuff, but if that's different now, I don't want to just say like "COOL" to all the catchphrase NPCs then realize I can't change any of them.

But this also applies to battles and such. Such as, if you never fight Trainer A then get 2 badges, Trainer A goes away and you can't fight them once you're done with the game. In previous games, this was mostly only the enemy team grunts and junior trainers in gyms. Another example would be in Red/Blue, you can fight your rival west of Viridian pre-Brock but not once you get his badge.

There's a lot of stuff like this and I don't know what's changed since I've only played RSE and not ORAS yet (europoor etc) for Hoenn games.
