I'm I the only one who is triggered by this? It really annoys me that each member of the trio isn't treated equally. Is there a similar method that works with Regirock/Registeel?

Has anyone tried to use Soft Sand, Hard Stone and such on Regirock or Metal Coat on Registeel in their respective caves?

But yeah, Regice is superior to both Regirock and Registeel.

I've notice that much of the Trio's are starting to have some kind of important one over the others.

For example;

>Suicune is the only Johto Beast that doesn't roam (except in the original G/S)
>Regice Dolls/Key to Regigigas
>Keldeo is an Event (There are 4 members of the Three Musketeers, ThatsTheJoke.jpg)
>Landorus requires the other two Genies
>Mespirit has a bond with the protag in D/P/Pt.

Even in X/Y, the birds, while not specific, will only have one spawn for the Player, the other two requiring trade to get.

When you enter the Island Cave with all three Regis (when you haven't met all the other requirements), it says that you felt a presence but it disappeared. It doesn't even say anything when you do the same in the Desert Ruins/Ancient Tomb.

The ones out of these that really bother me are Suicune, Mesprit, Landorus, and now Regice. I think it's the fact that they aren't even the main trios and should be treated equally.

Rayquaza being the focus is alright because it's the mediator. Giratina is the banished one and therefore should be treated differently. Cobalion is the group's leader in the same way that Athos was the leader of his group, so it makes sense. Kyurem and Zygarde are the "balance" in the group compared to their two opposing countrparts, so they obviously stand out.

But what makes Suicune, Regice, Mesprit, and Landorus so great? Although I guess Landorus is the least destructive of the three Kami.

Regigigas supposedly likes the cold, so occasionally moving between different cold places makes sense. Regice isn't using the Island Cave anymore so there's that, and having a cold item would seemingly attract its attention.

Suicune is kind of weird, since GS was the first with legendary mascots but didn't have a trio master for them, and Celebi was event only, so they went with the next best thing I guess? not that I mind, Suicune's what got me into pokemon when I was little
