Contrary Snivy can now be traded online, however HA Oshawott, Tepig, and all the gen 2 starters cannot be traded online. We(Japan) must be getting a Snivy event soon.

Serperior has not TOO many threats to look out for at +2: Heatran, (true, but it's one thing), M-Altaria, M-Venusaur, Unaware Clefable and either Talonflame and Zard Y or Ferrothorn and Scizor (depends on you going for Leaf Storm or sub first and on HP type)
It's not going to be THAT bad. I predict BL, nothing wants to face that thing at +2 or behind a sub in UU except like Crobat and Florges.

This is huge. Do you guys think serperior might be viable now? With the whole specs leaf storm spam? It's got some balk and a base 140 STAB attack giving a +2 everytime is beautiful. Shame grass is not really a good offensive type.

In RU, maybe. It's a fast SubSeeder, has Aromatherapy and Synthesis, but this isn't something any other grass type can't do.

Everything and their mothers in UU can totally block it. Specially with M-Lopunny and M-Gallade now gone, other megas will run UU, namely Beedrill (outspeeds and kills) and Sharpedo (protects, mega evolves, outspeeds and kills with Ice Fang). And this is without counting non-Megas, who can hold items, potentially outspeed with Scarf, and easily kill with SE moves. It'll be lucky to reach UU.

It has pretty good speed, so it might be able to pull it off. Priority would be a major problem, but that shouldn't be much of a surprise.

I was thinking more Leaf Storm, Hidden Power Fire, Dragon Pulse, Glare/Knock Off for a more offensive set. Hp fire to pick off forretress which would wall it defensively, dragon pulse to pick off things volcanion/goodra after they've been weakened to around half, and catching noivern on the switch. Glare is always a really good option since it discourages scarfers and such from switching in if it becomes a popular move to run

Do you guys honestly believe this thing wouldn't be broken as fuck against anything that isn't smogonbird if it had decent coverage? The whole point behind it is to be a straight grass type that can actually function despite the flaws of it's typing. This weakness in its typing and move pool is obviously meant to prevent a 130 stab nasty plot from automatically killing everything. Remember that any pkmn needs to have more than one or two counters to avoid breaking the game

It's also these weaknesses that make any Serperior without contrary easily the worst starter in the game by a mile so it's not hard to understand how they would release it's ha before the other starters from its gen. Reckless emboar would give it an incentive over the other fire fighting types but it doesn't completely affect it's viability like contrary does, as even it's base stats suggest that Serperior was designed with contrary in mind.

Power creep is an understatement when it comes to megas being introduced: basically a 4th level of evolution which is on par with most legendaries so they're forced to limit it to 1 per team to prevent total anarchy and they feel they have to evolve the legendaries to keep up with everything. It's no wonder that they wanted to imply the continued existence of their fictional universe without megas in delta ep.

Klefki and Togekiss are stupid for other reasons. Klefki is a massive pain in the ass for anyone unfortunate to have to face one, and probably always will be. It also gets Thundy-I's priority Thunder Wave gimmick, plus a bunch of other things that make its user's mistakes less costly than they should be.
Togekiss has flinchhax, a stellar defensive type combination, reliable recovery, Defog, and a fabulous offensive movepool to boot. That's enough to warrant a closer look.

Klefki is 100% cancer, though. I fucking love it.
