I actually still kind of think this. Not in the "oh he'll be a bad guy in the sequels" kind of way, but I think him and Lysandre have a connection of some sort to the Sea Mauville shit with Wattson, Maxie, Archie, and everyone else in that confusing shit.

I remember back then an Anon that had a pretty cool idean though it'd have been too much for GF.

Sycamore'd been like Ghetsis but with a last minute reveal, and his battle theme would have been his normal one but kinda distorded, evil-sounding.
Basically, think of Linebeck's and Bellumbeck's theme in Phantom Hourglass.

It is just a coincidence. Bianca was chosen because it fit the white/black theme names (Bel/Bianca both mean white, Cheren means black). Iris was her JP name too and they decided to keep it for once. Lysandre is named Fleur-de-Lis in JP, and like fuck they were going to keep that for English, so did Lysandre. This is what happens when you have a series with this many characters.

She needed SOMETHING interesting more than Sycamore did. And it could have been a parallel to Audry Hepburn (who she's based on) and how she pretended to be a Nazi in order to screw them over, too. And she's a fucking actor, it would have made sense.
