Are there any pokemon whose mega forms made you like them, when you previously didn't care for them?

I've always loved haunter but felt that gengar was kinda lame in comparison so I usually just never bothered to trade it and back to evolve it. But mega gengar is a much better logical evolution design wise from haunter and I love it.

Too bad he's bannu ;_;
