Pikachu got /fit/ over time. So can Raichu if it actually got screentime worth a damn.

Also, you are at least twice as strong, plenty faster, big enough so that you won't have your bones broken by a simple hug, and a tail you can actually use things for. What's not to like?

Besides, orange is less of an eyesore than yellow is anyway.

I'm not sure how much i hate pikachu. It used to be my second least favorite but I've come to accept it for what it is.
But i still hate how much it's pushed in our faces each gen with some new gimmick to try and keep it relevant.

The anime is making me loathe Pikachu.

Pikachu is the only thing that makes me want the series to go ahead and do the Digimon thing. Let Pikachu evolve for the tougher shit and return back to mascot status afterwards.

Yeah right, that happened all of one time with Gen 6 introducing Cospkay Pikachu. One of the main complaints of Gen 5 was that you couldn't even catch Pikachu until endgame.

That shit in origins with Blastoise and Charizard really reminded me how far they're willing to push it.

Maybe have stone evolutions regress back to their pre evolutions after a battle or something. I dunno.

They could even use it for the animu, Ash needs a big boost in power for a battle so he gets a Light Ball, tapes it to a thunderstone and gives it to Pikachu who promptly becomes Mega Raichu and kicks ass. Then he returns to Pikachu form because "muh u have great bond with ur pokomon it doesnt wana evlove :-DDddd" or something and then ash finally wins a league and the whole awful series can die
