The only two I know about are Entei and Giratina. Neither of them are instant fights but you don't have to fight Entei, just talk to it. Using a Traunt wand on Giratina keeps it from being able to use Shadow Force.

I've heard Reshiram and Zekrom are also fought at the same time so it's probably a good thing that fight starts instantly. Do you know if their abilities cause Earthquake to hit allies with Levitiate or if it only effects when the dragons attack? I'm thinking of trying Gengar with Curse coupled with an Earthquake user

Mold Breaker only applies to the Pokemon with the ability that attacks, so feel free to spam Earthquake to your heart's content.

Also, bring a Memento user since the battle takes place in a single room, and you WILL want to soften up those incoming Bolt Strikes and Blue Flares repeatedly.

I've had an enemy Pupitar use sandstorm and something use hail after I petrified monster houses. Both times were right after I used the orb, before I even hit the first enemy

Earthquake should be a big help in that battle. Maybe Lampent would be a better partner than Gengar since it learns both Memento and Curse. Of course, being weak to EQ and not having Levitate will get it killed often so a lot of Reviver seeds will be needed but I'm only going to be Ace rank after this dungeon so I have a lot of time to plan this out. Thanks for the Memento tip.

You can try to recruit Pokemon with Earth Power if Earthquake's all-target hit is a concern. Also, with Curse, you won't have to worry about actually have a huge damaging move on hand, but ymmv.

Regardless, you WILL need quite a few Oran Berries and Reviver Seeds since Lampent/other Memento/Curse mons will often chisle themselves to 1 HP.

They'll lampshade the fact that you're most likely scared that it's a monster house.

Chances most likely are: if you're visiting the secret base of a species known for being tricky or malicious (Rotom, Houndoom, etc), it'll be a monster house. If it's a species of a mild or familial personality, you'll just connect to multiple Pokemon rather than battle a monster house.

Speaking of which, has anybody found a way to make sticks and stones usable? Everytime I try to throw them at mons post-game, they would catch it and throw it back.

I mean, I only used them Sky for ranged neutral coverage and beating Shedinja, but Shedinja actually doesn't attempt to attack you in this game and wands have pretty much replaced sticks n stones.

That being said, go to "Tactics" and make one or two Pokemon "Wait There" at the stairs. Steal all the shit you want to shit with a Pokemon you don't mind dying, let it be killed, and don't use a Reviver Seed on it. The leader will automatically be somebody at the stairs, and you can escape that way. Make sure you die as fast as possible so the Keks can't reach your waiting teammates.

Nah, it does a pretty good job with tutorial. Oh, but you should know the button shortcuts, like tapping B = open bag, Y = control which way you're facing, hold down B, then Y = look around, and Y then B = something else I think.

You don't. You use the post-game Treasures that Ampharos tells you to collect for superior stat boosts. WHILE using Vitamins, of course.

You're in the same boat as most players who prefer Sky and skipped to Super Mystery Dungeon.

-DO NOT brute force your way through dungeons like you did with Sky, since the game has a difficulty curve and encourages you to use items to cripple other Pokemon or help you heal.
-Use Alliance Attacks to help get you through resistances.
-Keep a stockpile of Reviver Seeds since this game will rape you like crazy.
-Did I mention this is the most difficult entry of all the MD games?

I just did Beartic's mission a few minutes ago and had the same problem with lagg. Getting through the dungeon wasn't a problem until around the middle to near end when I started getting KO'd a lot. I went in with a ton of reviver seeds and left with only 2 cause of Magnetude and Silver wind

No bias at all right there. Water gets allhit moves, slowing 4 tile moves and piercing 10tile move. Fire gets fucked.

Have a ghost Pokemon stationed 2 squares inside a wall adjacent to the room that has the stairs in it.
Have one of your Pokemon stationed far away so when the Kecleon spawn they will go after it instead of you. Once those are setup have your third party member grab what you want and leave the shop area.

Control your ghost and hold a+b to make turns go by until the path to the stairs is clear. Keep in mind that your hunger will go down quickly so be sure to have apples. To be extra safe you can also use a quick orb before you make a break for it since the Kecleon will be sped up.

It's possible to not use any items if times right. If you have more than one ghost you can station them inside walls also and your party won't faint, and can swap between them to wait turns out.

Only Connection Orb missions I have left are Zygarde, Mesprit, and Cresselia. Eventually Arceus, Azelf, and Uxie (Groudon isn't in there until I recruit it). I have 697, so there have to be. I heard a rumor about the Conection Orb saying where traveling Pokemon are at for that day, but it turns out to be false for me.

You need to finish all Connection Orb missions. As in, the ones that are given to you and you needing to accept them.

You're missing the Lake Trio, which is why you haven't gotten it.

Charizard learns it naturally, and I think Growlithe and Heatran are easy enough to connect with once you get the opportunity to get them.

Sacred Fire has a similar effect and can be learned by Entei and Ho-Oh.

Since it turns out I don't even have ANY of the maps where you can find a Never Hungries items (unless the guide is using translated Japanese names instead of the names in the English games like Serebii does, which is confusing). Go to the Sand Continent Town and look for a lamp that resembles the Unbound forme. You instantly connect with Hoopa and can summon him as a party member anytime you want.

Make sure to teach him Psybeam over Ally Switch at Hawlucha's so he has a good sniping move and doesn't screw you over with the latter move. Try to keep him healthy too, otherwise he disappears for a while and can't be revived by seeds.

Excavation looplets let you see the golden shining spots which can contain goodies like sitrus berries and joy seeds. I find that the deeper I go in a dungeon, the more commonly I see shining spots, so I'd go to the deepest dungeon you can for farming gold bars.

You can get Tiny Reviver Seeds by revisiting early dungeons with a natural setting. You can make trips like this even more profitable by bringing a high-leveled Persian or Meowth with Pay Day to get jew shekels from weak opponents.

Also finding Jew bars is actually already pretty easy because they give em out like candy so many people think it isn't worth it.

I used to work on the telephone lines and those motherfuckers love hibernating en masse in the connection boxes at the top of the poles. Every time I had to open one up in winter, hundreds would just pour out like a tiny red and black avalanche, I'd be picking them out my pockets for the rest of the day.

im fine with insects as long as I'm not pulling them out of my pockets and hair all day. That said, spiders also loved making their nests in those boxes so I often found myself crawling with baby spiders.
And then there was the time there was one full of maggots. It's a good thing that nothing that nests in those box joints is actually capable of chewing the wires or we'd be having some major issues.

for instance the monarch's elemental arms buff stacked your attack stat infinitely if you recasted it before it expired, but when it expired it only removed one stack of the buff, so imagine if the stat boosts from eating emeras stayed with you permanently
