Only deal is your cross-eyed team of tongue slapping wunderkind decided to give the game every single fucking advantage possible TO THE GAME rather than me.

How in the fuck does Bellossom - whose moveset is the smallest and lamest piece of shit next to Delphox - suddenly become SO FUCKING GOOD that they can one shot you from across the room without using a single item? Huh!? Why!? You never see this shithead anywhere near the top fucking 200 in a normal battle. but HO HO HO TIME THIS TIME THEY'RE MEGA-COCK, THE STRONGEST FAGGOT IN THE WORLD. 1.21 GIGAWATTS MAGNEMITE, LET'S GO BACK TO THE FUCKING FUTURE.

But it's not just Bellossom with the magical powers, it's the entire fucking lineup of Pokemon! THEY'RE ALL STRONGER THAN YOU. AND DON'T REQUIRE ANY ITEMS.

Dragon's Gate is easily the hardest. A bullshit 20 floor dungeon beforehand, then Dialga uses his faggot Metal Bullshit, Palkia spams Special Rend, and Rayquaza has such a gigantic amount of health to the point where you need like three Ally Revivers and 15 Reviver Seeds to even begin to stand a chance.

Reshi/Zek is next, mostly because they keep spamming fucking Fusion Flare, Fusion Bolt, Bolt Strike, and Blue Flare and you have a teammate literally dying every turn. Utter cancer.

Mewtwo can actually be cheesed through Ban Seeds/Shedinja/Truant Wanss. I found Giratina and Darkrai much harder, actually, because if they get the stat boost on Ominous Wind you're pretty much fucked. Darkrai also kills you if you for some reason didn t bring sleep immunity.

After making it past Entei with Froakie and Riolu, I actually restarted and picked Chespin and Fennekin. Feels a little soulless to choose my characters based solely on usefulness, but everything was giving me so much grief.

Fennekin is much better so far, but his multi-miss moves aren't quite as insane as I'd hoped.

all you need for mewtwo is a ban seed for recover or a recover pokemon with imprision
I defeated it with a furret and rotom wash and another ghost type at level 30 something

reshi/zek actually burned some of my reviver seeds, but it doesnt help that I brought chikorita+charizard with no dragon moves

dragon gate was pretty lame, I found 3 distant dodges, one for each mon, and I was pretty much untouchable because AI wasn't smart enough to walk one step forward

Fighting is pretty neutral for a lot of the early game. It wasn't until way later that I got to a Psychic dungeon in the story, and by then you should still have Bite + TM moves as Riolu.

I had the chance to go Fury Swipes on Piplup around late-game.

I didn't go for it because I like challenge and I didn't want "Dual Chop" to happen again.

Though I use Bubble and Bubble beam I noticed...while type variety is nice I seem to find I prefer having alot of one move type.

That was my biggest fear.

I kinda did that in gates and I loved the new status system they imposed on boss fights where statuses wear off faster and they become more resilient the more they're used.

As in sleeping payback and stuff will eventually give them insomnia.

Barrage wasn't even busted surprisingly...and I use that emera.

I disagree. I think it's a good system where the farther you go in a dungeon, the more immediate stat boosts or special effects you get, whereas gummis only start giving you good IQ skills until you really invest in them. And even then, the skills aren't half as useful as the stat boosts/effects.

I don't necessarily agree that removing scarves was a good choice, and would have preferred if there was a base Looplet item and then your standard stat boosting/special effect scarves, and then change the Treasure Hunt looplets into actual items, but eh.

Even when I'm going full offensive on builds, the shit I'm relying on changes up slightly thanks to RNG and it gives a sense of accomplishment when I get my ideal build.

Yes, there's no penalty.
With the regular, you will still keep everything before that save point.
With +, you get the items you already collected as well.
Are they useful? Depends.
The biggest pro for me is that if you save the dungeon, the layout is set--meaning you'll know the layout ahead of time.

in Sky does Electivire's Link Shop work just like Hawlucha's Slam School does in which you can "remember" moves that pokemon would only learn at a certain level in a later evolution?

Like I have Riolu as my partner and I'm sure I'll be well past level 50 by the time they can evolve and all of Lucario's moves are pre level 50

Evolving really is up to you. There's no stat changes whatsoever, but some pokemon do get different typing and can only get certain moves when evolved so remember that
Example: You can only learn Aura Sphere, Dragon pulse, Metal Claw, Bone Rush, and some others if you evolve Riolu into Lucario

I can barely motivate myself to finish the story since every dungeon feels like an endless ordeal compared to past games. The only thing keeping me going is knowing I'll eventually be able to grind vitamins somewhat mindlessly.

It's so tempting to switch back to Sky where I can bulldoze through walls and end encounters with one PP-free press of the A button with Palkia.

Cofagrigus sells every vitmain except HP-ups for one gold bar each. After the main story you can get the water looplet which causes thrown items to pierce targets, meaning you can throw a vitamin through two Pokemon and get double the benefit. You can also use it for any other stat-altering items, like joy and life seeds

You need to grind vitamins. I've probably pumped five or six full bags of vitamins into my starters, and even at level 75 I still had trouble with Kyogre and Groudon's dungeons

Use a lot of items. Unlike other entries, they want you to use items. Otherwise, you'll get rekt. I mean, one of the first missions you can get involves a Lv. 50ish Salamence... in a game where the main story seems to be averagely finished before 30s because of the way EXP curve works.

There's a mission early on, it's Rampardos having you send a letter to Cincinno. It's nothing big, but it's a small feel good moment that Cincinno knows Rampardos is doing well.

This shit was definitely the Connection Orb's strongest point, fleshing out each pokemon as a unique character (even if most were very small). But I definitely understand why people want the recruit system back.

I prefer the connection system.

Recruiting was frustrating and dumb and I feel a sense of accomplishment when I actually "Get to know" each of the connected pokemon.

There's a difference between missing maybe 10-15% of the time and a thrown item being caught 90% of the time.

Seriously, it happens so often that the thrown items only have one purpose, being traded for gold bars

Dude, enemies catching your shit is nothing. Go deal with Iron spikes evolving Onix', or all spikes being ineffective against pokemon with Flame Body, or enemies pulling alliance attacks on your asshole, or MEGA EVOLVED ENEMIES
