>>25350705Well, new granite cave is a whopper of an exhibit A. From making your destination 3 feet form the enterance and denying any, to blocking off literally anything other than the hamfisted chalkdrawing room with a bike slope so you can't even explore, just go watch your unnecessary cutscene and leave, to once you get up the bike slope removing the puzzles that get you shadow claw and prepare you for sky pillar, because hey, why bother the puzzles have been removed from sky pillar too, to having certain pokemon only encounterable after you get past said bike slope when before everything in the cave was there as soon as you got to Dewford, team staples like say, sableye, mawile, aron, or flavor neatos like nosepass, so that you have to backtrack in order to get them or even know they're there, to the cutscene itself, which takes a plot about slowly learning of the schemes of an ecoterrorist cult and eventually the mysterious, long forgotten powerful beings that man should not tamper with they are trying to summon (almost a romantic horror vibe, along the lines of Lovecraft if you think about it) to something incredibly hamfisted, where you see the monster long before you even know the cult exists, much less have clues as to their goals and motives, and that seems more occupied with trying to shove the concept of primal evolution down your throat and than basic storytelling.
I really hope that pokemon RS get a sequelitis episode, because the amount of good game design they had to write out or undo to get ORAS into its final state is staggering.
But enough about that, lets get to some other cinemasins: game edition this atrocity performed.
You also have on route 113, where May shows up to heal your pokemon not even 10 steps from a free rest house, because lets forget that 80% of the appeal of this region and even to a lesser extent the series itself is rewarded exploration, and then she stops you again to insist you appreciate the games graphical updates.
