Although it might still be having seizures because of Electric Soldier Porygon, in which case, holy hell it just got even darker.

That or he could get a new signature move of his own. Seriously, Conversion and Conversion 2 are practically useless for a special sweeper.

It got a yuuuuuuge buff in Gen VI. It's now a 120 BP, 100% accurate move without any drawbacks. If Porygon Z got Techno Blast, it would instantly be viable in OU and be at the top of UU. It could even run a Blaze Drive to nail Steel type mons that hardwall it right now.

I think he's just seizuring because he's corrupted data
you need to use "dubious" disc, which according to inventory info, has "dubious" data. it's not known exactly what's on it
further, it's believed that it's "Z" because it looks like a corrupted "2"

Its creator is unknown, likely it's unofficial and imperfect, he's just having glitches
And what better way is there to show a being consisting of data as glitching, other than to give it a strange ability? Twitches!

If they were to go another step, they could make the area around it look corrupted too, when twitching, though that might be a little too meta

Do not place the blame on poor Zygarde for Pokemon Z being skipped. The truth is Gamefreak just did not have it in them to make an appropriate tribute to the mighty Porygon-Z so rather than insulting it with a hackjob of a Kalos remake they just decided to push through to not disrespect Porygon-Z's legacy.

It's not like Porygon-Z is even the strongest example of this anymore thanks to power creep, but it's still far more satisfying to pull off than with the other Pokemon.

You're forgetting the line's third (until Gen V) signature move, Sharpen. (Which still references polygon counts in the description despite being on the move lists of Cryogonal, Diancie, et cetera.)

Which isn't that surprising, since an attack boost is even more useless to a Pokemon that's supposed to focus on special attack.

No, Protean with x2 STAB. Now that I think about it it's basically a x2 multiplier on all non normal type attacks, so Huge Power applied to both Atk and SpA.

Possible stat spread:

HP 85
Atk 110 (+30)
Def 85 (+15)
SpA 155 (+20)
SpD 85 (+10)
Spe 115 (+25)

Gets Extreme Speed so the Atk boost isn't useless.
