Although you still can't remove a Pokemon's Mega Evolution stone you can now disable it with the moves Embargo and Magic Room. Using Embargo disables the usage of the mega stone and even mega devolves the target (causes the target pokemon to go back to its normal form). However the user of embargo has their defence, special defence, and speed cut down by two stages for three turns, and even if they switch out, once they switch back in the debuff turn count clock still continues (meaning if the embargo user goes through 2 turns, switches out and then switches back in they'll still have to wait 1 turn in order for the debuff to go away) Magic room disables both sides' mega evolution stones and devolves all mega pokemon, meaning that once you use it both your opponent/s, you and your allies will be affected.
