Do something important, so you feel accomplished. The problem you're facing (If you're anything like most millennials) is that you lack the personal accomplishment to manage your own emotions.
I'm not demonizing you, but letting those thoughts stay at the back of you're mind while you use logic and reason to solve some problems will help those thoughts to process.
It's all about being a man. And no matter how much society would like to tell you it's running away from you're feelings, it isn't. It's clearing headspace to deal with those feelings. The way men do.
