middle stage starters analysis:
Gen 1-all pretty good, just like their lines are all great. Wartortle was heading a different direction when compared to Blastoise though
Gen II-the best middle stager is Bayleef, who funny enough gets the absolute worst final stage (the inverse happens to Croconaw)
Gen III- These starter lines were great, but the middle evos were shit. Combusken and Marshtomp were shit, Grovyle the best middle stager in this gen
Gen IV-meeeeeh
Gen V-Dewott is a great design in its own right, doesnt quite match Samurott. Servine is good, pignite... I don't like it but i don't like the line and it flows well to shitty Emboar
Gen VI-Braixen, Quilladin is the son of Pignite&Marshtomp,
