No. Just it being SE to Fighting types. I don't mind it resisting fighting types but also being SE against them in a generation with Gale Wings and Aerilate seemed a little too much.

None of the new fairies save for xerneas are worth a shit.
The type itself is busted and only served to break all the older pokes it was given too.
It has no real definition aside from "cute pink shit"
It resulted in a pretty shitty eeveelution

Yeah, it's cool that poison and steel got a little bit of a buff but Bug and Grass definitely need something.

Fairy being SE against Dark does make sense but, if you take Fairy lore into account, Dark should also be SE against Fairy since most Fairies are easily corrupted. If Dark was considered too strong before that, fine, leave it as is BUT Ghost should have been either SE against Fairy or, at the least, should have resisted the new type.

The strength over Fighting is the somewhat weird thing. I could kind of understand Fairy resisting Fighting but also being SE against it seems like overkill.

Psychic resist and SE against it, psychic needs the boost. Remove retarded bug resist, give ice a resist as well, possibly grass too. Otherwise that's enough. None of these things actually make sense lorewise. Maybe in some more modern fairy fiction but fairies are morally ambigious really, they can't be corrupted because they're not explicitly good. Likewise, ghost being SE makes even less sense because there's nothing to suggest in mythology ghosts have power over fairies but many things suggest fairies have power over ghosts (when they aren't also simultaenously ghosts themselves). It's best they remain neutral.

Once again agreed on fighting. And as for the overall subject, dragon needed the nerf, anyone who doesn't think dragon needed the nerf is out of their mind.

Also thank you. This is why I say fairy is barely OP, if at all. Steel types are not shit offensively. Poison types could use a bit more though. It's honestly a matter of moves. Give poison some more offensive moves and you don't need to do much of anything. That being said it can afford a nerf if it means giving another type a buff.

Would've been better served as a 'Cosmic' or 'Power' type that included Pokemon like plateless Arceus, Regigigas (maybe dual typed), and the Togepi line, as well as moves like Hyper Beam, Selfdestruct, and Bide that aren't in the same thematic space as Tackle, Pound, etc.

It's already implemented, though, so it's easier to tweak it than replace it entirely.

I agree with buffing Poison, but I'd be satisfied if they just made it SE against Fighting types.
It confounds me that it isn't. Fighting type relies on its body. Poison obviously compromises that.
I mean hell, Poison already gets defensive benefits against Fighting moves doesn't it? Why not go the full way? Makes more sense that way.

Remember: this is literally the meta type. Some dumbfuck at GameFreak looked at the most used moves and made the Fairy type resist them, and among them was U-turn (for obvious reasons).

Poison and Steel actually has allot of great STAB users. The types themselves were just laughable when using them for coverage.

At least Poison's buff made my bro's Swords Dance set 10x better. Why need Close Combat when you have Gunk Shot?

Fairies will never get nerfed, Nintendo balances around VGC not smogonshit. Fairy is not even OP in VGC, dragons were and still are to some extent.
The last VGC you saw Xerneas and it was still outclassed by Rayquaza and what do you know, its a dragon.
