Things like Arceus and Giratina are talked about as if there are only one. The same Dialga and Palkia star in like three different movies. But on the other hand, Lugia is running around with its kid and Shaymin at the end of the Giratina movie goes into a field of shaymin.
You just kind of have to pay attention to what Pokemon are legendary because they're unique and which ones are legendary because they happen to have legends about them.
