>>29144314>>29142985I think a major problem is that a lot of us left 4chan for a time, likely due to being fed up of dealing with truly bigoted idiots who flooded the board in the wake of either /news/ or /pol/'s initial deletion. But we forgot that the niggerfaggot buzzword shit has been going on all across 4chan since near inception and is a part of the site's culture... leading to, of course, more and more legitimate bigots thinking they're in good company and crawling out the woodwork.
So we're now only just returning out of some sense of nostalgia or wanting to discuss something in a speedy, anonymous matter... and forgot why we left in the first place, instead misremembering how things were entirely.
I'd say it's best we just leave, but honestly being able to speak candidly without being held accountable for fuckups or changes in opinion is too appealing...
I don't know maybe I'm spewing word salad. All I know is that I too remember 4chan being a lot more accepting in the olden days, just using coarse language to scare people off. Now it's like if you admit attraction to a black girl you get like ten anons telling you what a cuck or niggerlover or something you are. Like yeah, disagreements have always happened but not in such an.... I don't know, hateful manner? It always felt more like a banter thing. Like you'd get called a fag for anything that DIDN'T have to do with sexuality, or nigger for anything that didn't have to do with race.
I don't know. Maybe Im really just a tired old man now.
