>>29177883Like I'll say every time shit like this pops up, it's more progressive and a testament to being true to yourself to be gender non conforming and not say you're a man/woman/non binary/whatever the fuck. That just expands on gender roles and is more harmful than not.
Like, Ilima is a dude who has pink hair and wears tight clothes, so are Wallace, Lucian, Grimsley etc; but nothing about their flamboyance or fashion sense makes them think "I break the gender binary" or whatever neo-liberal term they wanna use to promote gender.
TL;DR: Tumblr would be helpful if instead of saying characters are identities that don't matter/exist on a large spectrum, they'd say "look at this male character who does what he wants, that's awesome."
