HM's were finally taken out back and shot
Mega Kangaskhan has been nerfed to the ground, losing access to Power-up Punch and the second parental bond hit being nerfed 50%.
A fair number of fresh designs, Tapu Koko, Vikavolt, and Kommo-o as well as others look great to me.
You can now edit IV's, no more stupid levels of breeding now that you can just grab a mon with the right nature and egg moves and work from there.
Cons:
Gen 7 is debuting around the same amount of new pokemon as Gen 6, and it may stay that way for future gens to have ~70 new mons now.
Z-moves aren't going to be that great. With moves like Gigavolt Havoc being 175 BP, you'd be better off just keeping a life orb on a pokemon rather than a Z crystal.
No bikes, they make breeding easier then they do this. Game Freak giveth and Game Freak taketh away.

Ultra Beasts, I'll wait to see everything about them to pass judgment if it's a good addition or not.
