What if it was designed poorly so it could get attention? What if GF is so advanced that they design some Pokemon so terribly so they get attention.

This isn't just a possibility it's fact at this point. Game freak don't care about the integrity of the franchise they just want as much meme fodder as possible for the free internet advertising.

I've seen companies go down this route before and it usually kills the franchise once he hype dies out.
