What's more likely: that because Totems are considered an alternate form they require an associated sprite like every other form in the game to prevent issues if someone hacks them into their party, but because their model is the same as the base form and they can't be caught normally they just put a blank sprite as a placeholder? Or that Game Freak is secretly hiding the male forms of every confirmed Totem except Wishiwashi and a few other Pokémon for no fucking reason?
