Regional Persian, ok having a big head, but gen1 persian have a really small head compared to its body in model and compared to its oficial art

So I've seen the shitstorm about his head, and I don't think people are getting the design.
Here's the thing, Persian cats have a lot of fur, and when you groom and cut all fur except the head/paws, this is what they look like.

The "big head" is just fur.

It's most likely based on the Exotic Shorthair, a sub-breed of Persian cats nicknamed "the lazy man's Persian".

Well, the idea of the face is based on persians which I think most people get, but its body doesn't match because it's supposed to make it obvious the face is a defect.

Doesn't make much sense that they'd just make it look so smooth though. If it's fur it shouldn't be so round. Also its actual facial features, like eyes and mouth, should be the same size as before, and they're bigger.

There's definitely the inspiration here, and I think it's a case of the actual animal already having silly proportions, so when you cartoon it, it just looks entirely ridiculous.
