I don't get why people are so blasted about an popular optional format to play Pokemon.

Nintendo created Stealth Rock and it's interactions in Generation 4, not Smogon.

I'm glad they use some of the tools available, there's plenty of options Nintendo have introduced and the AI previously hasn't used. The most criminal of these is switching, but I understand in some scenarios it'd be extremely hard to program without "prediction" just being reading your input.

He never fucking was the champion. He made himself a temporary elite 4 member (basically elite 5) to test the first alolan champion. If you encounter him challenging your title, he even says he has no interest in being the champion of a league he himself built, he just wants to see you use your powerful moves.

Yeah, the game is balanced around the use of exp share, that's why turning it off (or turning it on only to train the pokémon you just caught and then turning it off again) makes the run even better.

It's almost like the BW2 difficulty mode.

Mixed attacker can be better for the CPU in main game usually, due to to TMs and level up learnset are usually mixed/unoptimised.

Why don't you just pick Rowlet and trade for a Litten? Starters are the most traded pokemon ever at the beginning of a gen and nothing fits Kukui like Incineroar. Also his Primarina is all man, baby.

Samson Oak and Colress also crossed my mind but I knew it would be pretty much impossible.

Don't know what the Royal has for a moveset, but Decidueye has been far and away my MVP and the folks at Smogon seem to be pleasantly surprised by it. Not likely OU quality, but far from utter trash. I was afraid my favorite new Pokémon would end up being worse than Meganium and useless even ingame. Glad to have been wrong.

I was thinking of using a combo of A-Raticate, Gumshoos, Pyukumuku, Lurantis, Drampa, A-Sandslash, Oranguru and A-Persian with some other stronger 'mons.

I know Pyukumuku is basically like Wobbuffet but with shit HP although I finished Crystal with Wobbuffet, but the counter/mirror coat was .ore predictable back then
